It was a chilly foggy morning today. I went out on a test ride. This is my winter bike, now ready for the colder, damper months.

Mudguards are a must, of course. This one is a bit of a parts bin special – the left shifter doesn’t work, but I’ve fitted a bar end shifter to handle the front derailleur.  It also disc brakes. These aren’t essential for winter as decent rim brakes are nearly as good.

What is essential is a pre winter service. Call us to book yours before it’s too late.

On a bike test ride, enjoying the early morning mist, and patches of sunshine when I was passed by this wonderful machine.

Road home from Burton on the Cotic Soul this morning. 853 tubing is just great. Smooth and responsive even with me riding. Loads of funky painted barrels around town.

Here we have our latest custom build, most of the parts anyway. Cavazzo frame, our handbuilt carbon wheels, GRX 600 groupset, our carbon bars and seat post, plus it has to have a Brooks. Can you see what’s missing???

What a place Rutland is to cycle – highly recommended. We cycled over on Friday, tested out the Rutland forest trails on Saturday, and circumnavigated Rutland Water on Sunday. 110 miles, mostly off road- absolutely wonderful when mixed up with friends.

We have been using these ‘suspension’ stems on our own bikes for a while now. If you want to reduce road / trail buzz and reduce the shock of bumps then these will work for you. Highly reccomended. We will do the fitting and help you to choose the right seetings / elastomers for you.

More like a bike and train trip. A great to get about – all you need is a Brompton!!!
